The Birth Of a Nation

For a class project, I designed a 14-page publication featuring the full text of the Declaration of Independence. My goal was to create a design that honored the historical significance of the document while incorporating a modern aesthetic. Using Photoshop, I crafted imagery that evoked the appearance of an aged, weathered document, paired with vintage-style fonts to reflect its historical roots. To introduce a contemporary twist, I integrated a torn page effect, visually separating the old and modern styles while maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the design. This approach allowed me to bridge the past and present, creating a publication that resonates with history and relevance.
