TRopical Paradise
Process
For the sketching phase of Tropical Paradise, I wanted to capture a beachy, Hawaiian inspired feel with a playful design. For the Logo, I envisioned a tropical-themed logo with organic typography set against a wooden plank to enhance the rustic, island aesthetic. To guide the creative direction, I assembled a mood board filled with inspiration from Hawaiian patterns, tiki carvings, surf culture, and lush tropical elements. This helped establish the color palette, textures, and overall vibe of the design. Once the sketches were refined, I brought them into Adobe Illustrator, where I digitized the elements, cleaned up the lines, and crafted seamless patterns that reflected the lively energy of the tropics.

Tropical Paradise is a vibrant, hand-crafted pattern inspired by Hawaiian and tiki culture, featuring hibiscus flowers, monstera leaves, surfboards, and parrots perched on tiki torches. The design process began with hand-drawn sketches, allowing me to refine the organic shapes and composition before bringing them into Adobe Illustrator. Once digitized, I used the Pen Tool and Shape Builder Tool to create clean, vector-based illustrations, carefully selecting warm, tropical hues to enhance the island-inspired aesthetic. Using Illustrator’s Pattern Tool, I arranged the elements into a seamless, repeating pattern, adjusting spacing and orientation for visual balance. To bring the design to life, I applied it to mockups, such as fabric textures, to showcase its versatility for applications in fashion, home decor, and branding. This project blends hand-drawn artistry with digital precision, capturing the essence of a tropical escape.
